I have been a professional artist for over 45 years. My art career began in Boston with degrees from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University. After establishing a practice in Franklin Ma for 30 years, I moved my studio in 2008 to Boston’s SoWa Arts District, teaching classes in several media and selling work in a Boston gallery. Moving to Sedona, AZ in 2019 rekindled my passion for painting nature outdoors. After trying many different plein air pochade systems, I have finally settled on the best one yet, The En Plein Air Pro. The tripod and palette box is easily assembled (even in 30 mph winds at the Grand Canyon). The palette surface is grey and has a value chart along the bottom…brilliant! It even has a solvent container and holder (great for us oil painters). It even has the capacity to hold large canvases. Cleaning the surface is easy and then the whole set-up slides perfectly into it’s own backpack, making climbing around canyon cliffs a breeze! I am a huge fan of the En Plein Air Pro equipment, and tell every artist I meet. En Plein Air has made painting in nature possible, even for this 72 year old artist!
