ABOUT

En Plein Air Pro, Inc. was started in 2005 after artist Chase Almond and master watercolor artist Eric Michaels decided to utilize some modern technology and materials to improve the concept of painting outdoors. Through many trials (and errors) they developed the En Plein Air Pro Easel. Chase and Eric received valuable input from many of the nation's top artists - the type of feedback, promotion and input that money can’t buy.

En Plein Air Pro Easel Systems were produced and marketed with a tremendous amount of hard work, dedication, and input from Scott Collins, Chase's business partner. Scott was instrumental in the day to day operations that made the company a great success!

Chase and Scott assembled what many artists believe to be one of the most functional easels available. ‘Form follows function’. The line of easels now spans most popular painting mediums.

Over the years our En Plein Air Pro easels, palettes, shelves, and panel holder, along with the rest of our product line, have been thoughtfully developed to ensure they are the best quality for plein air painting. We continually assess our products to make sure we are evolving and improving. We also appreciate and take into account the feedback we receive from our customers.

In August 2019, Chase and Scott decided to take a well deserved step back to enjoy their families and traveling.  They are, however, continuing their work with En Plein Air Pro in advisory positions. Chase handles artistic inquiries and new product development and Scott liaises regarding logistics. Charlie Mauldin is now our Customer Service Representative, managing the day-to-day operations of EPAP and is enjoying taking En Plein Air Pro, Inc. to the next level in the Plein Air movement!
